Scott is a seasoned Electromechanical Engineer, well-versed in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines. Over the course of 25 years, he has honed his skills in utilizing Pro/E and Creo mechanical design software for various projects. His expertise extends to designing electronic circuits and PCBs, utilizing Altium Nexus software. Scott’s skills further include writing embedded C code for microcontrollers and PICs, along with developing software applications using a diverse range of programming languages, including Python, C, ASP.NET, Visual Basic.NET, LabVIEW, Node Red, Visual C++, and PHP. His extensive and varied experience underscores his comprehensive proficiency across multiple engineering domains.

Credentials

Scott holds an Associate degree in Avionics Maintenance Technology/Technician from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Slippery Rock University.

Industry Experience

With a career spanning over 25 years in manufacturing and engineering, Scott has made significant contributions across diverse industries, including industrial machinery manufacturing, fabrication, automation, transportation, and safety. Starting off as a production technician focused on manufacturing printed circuit boards (PCBs), Scott has over time transitioned into various mechanical and electrical technical roles within Research and Development (R&D) and New Product Development (NPD) departments, specializing in the design of gas detection instruments.

 

In his most recent role as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Ingersoll Rand, Scott navigated the power tools and fluid pump products business units. Starting as a Life Cycle Engineer, he progressed to become a New Product Development Engineer.

 

With a total of 17 years of R&D and NPD engineering experience, complemented by 11 years in manufacturing, including 2 years of production management, Scott’s extensive journey also includes over two decades of hands-on experience with rapid prototyping technologies.

Extracurriculars

Outside of work, Scott finds joy in the great outdoors, whether he’s out boating, engaging in water sports, fishing, or trying his hand at skeet shooting and target shooting. When he’s not basking in the elements, you’ll likely catch him channeling his creativity into home remodeling projects or crafting cool creations using his 3D printing and electronics maker skills.
