Rachel is thrilled to be working with the talented team of marketers to help Very use marketing as a growth lever to drive the business forward.

Rachel has spent most of the past 20 years in or around tech. Before coming to Very, Rachel was a fractional CMO Founder Member & Marketing Practice Owner for GrowthJen. Before her role at Growthjen, Rachel owned a fractional marketing consulting company, MoJo Marketing Consulting, LLC. She also served in key leadership roles at companies like iGoDigital, ExactTarget, Salesforce, Angie’s List, Monetate, PFL, One Click Contractor, and as the CMO for a private equity company, Threefold, LLC, and their portfolio brands California Closets, Certa Pro Painters, White Hat, Renovia, and Casual Nomad.

Credentials

Rachel has a Bachelor of Science in business, marketing, and communications from Indiana University.  She is also certified in Hubspot’s Marketing, sales, and service hubs.

 

Industry Experience

Rachel’s experience has run the gamut, including demand gen (growth/revenue marketing), product marketing, customer marketing, content marketing, field marketing, and brand. She orchestrates these marketing functions to help companies drive meaningful growth and accelerate business results. She is excited to bring these different facets to Very to grow and develop the marketing team to support the business as they mature these different areas of marketing to support the company across the buyer journey.

Extracurriculars

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys photography and hanging with her husband, Brent, and her three kids. She says that being a mom has taught her many skills, including patience, kindness, and multitasking, and she brings many of these skills to work with her when she leads teams. She also has two girls, and she wants to show them that women can be strong and bold but also kind. You’ll also see Rachel giving back and mentoring more junior team members of a team or within the community. Giving back is a critical leadership quality for her. Rachel looks forward to engaging with and helping other start-ups and scale-up companies accelerate their growth through marketing.
