Chris Flinchbaugh

Chris seamlessly blends proficiency in Front-End technologies with a rich background encompassing Computer Science, Art, and Psychology. This unique combination has led him to excel in team leadership and UI/UX development, where he crafts purposeful and enjoyable interfaces. His demonstrated history spans managing large-scale projects, refining roadmaps, and ensuring efficient development through effective cross-team communication. Chris’s expertise lies in creating interfaces that go beyond the conventional, striking a balance between delight and accessibility for users.

Chris earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from York College of Pennsylvania, where he delved into back-end programming (Java, C), data structures, and internet infrastructure. Additionally, he holds another Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Education from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, focusing on research, analysis, creative solutions, and fine/digital arts.

Chris has cultivated a diverse career, spanning the software development industry and supporting local small businesses. His roles have ranged from designer and developer to maintainer, specializing in crafting responsive front-end interfaces for various core software products. He actively contributes to the design and specification of new features, consistently delivering progressive enhancements with a focus on broad client support. Over time, Chris has honed his skills in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Styled-Components, and Agile Development.

Between dev-times, you can find Chris studying Japanese, listening to lo-fi while sketching, or putting off his backlog of games in favor of weight lifting.
