Very CEO Shares Slack Hacks with UC Today

Very’s CEO, Ryan Prosser, was recently interviewed by UC Today to share a unique way that the Very team manages Slack messages to maximize productivity.

That hack? We call it the “In Case You Missed It” (ICYMI) bot, which allows the Very team at large to decide which messages are most important in our Slack channels by upvoting them at will. Through the bot, these upvotes then generate a weekly digest of the top-voted messages:

The ICYMI bot is one of the many ways Very teammates stay productive while working remotely, allowing them to stay focused on client work rather than the constant stream of Slack messages — without missing any important updates.

“You really want to do everything you can to cut distraction factors, maximize focus factors, and being able to pull together a digest so that they’re never missing out on important things,” Ryan said. “This really increases a person’s ability to just dial in and be effective.”
