KCF Technologies, where Jeremy is CEO and President, started in 2000 and has been built on a foundation of solving industry problems with innovation and expertise. In their 23 years, they’ve managed to make wireless condition monitoring sensors the norm in the industry. 

Now that’s no mean feat, but Jeremy stresses that the key to building a tech-forward business is to always start with the service offering rather than focusing solely on the tech itself.

Jeremy draws inspiration from lean manufacturing principles, particularly the Toyota approach, which emphasizes a continuous cycle of improvement and the involvement of frontline workers in problem-solving.

The chat in this episode shifts over to the future of electric vehicles. A consensus emerges that electric vehicles are superior in many ways, and their adoption will continue to pick up speed despite the concerns around range anxiety. Jeremy thinks that people should purchase electric vehicles for their day-to-day commuting needs and consider renting for longer trips. He says this would eliminate waste and optimize the use of resources.

We were doing applications on helicopters and submarines for the Navy and things for the Army on prosthetic limbs.
